Upon reflection.

So looking back over my proposal, I'm not sure how I feel about it, one one level I like it, but on another level I kind of hate it, but the list itself I am actually somewhat proud of.
The thing was rushed and ended up not being particularly representative of what the final list would end up being like. As I wrote the actual list I noticed the 'one person changes the world' theme alongside the main theme and I think that is just as interesting especially in the cases of The Fourth Ambit and American Gods. Another thing I really don't like about it retroactively is the manipulation, for both good and ill of mass opinion. I didn't mention it for any of the entries in the proposal, and in the collection itself, I didn't make that connection for the Fourth Ambit as it's a change of mass opinion in a positive way and for some reason that caused me to not realize that's what it was. I also hate the title I went with for the curated list, it comes off as tacky and pretentious.
The entries all remained the same from proposal to final list and stayed in the same order, I'm indifferent towards that, but if I'm honest I'm not even sure if I would have been allowed to change it.
As for things I did like, making this list forced me to finally sit down and watch District 9, something I had been putting off literally since it was released. I am rather proud of the range of popularity I have on my list, from X-men one of the biggest multi-media franchises on earth to the Fourth Ambit, so obscure that I've never met another person who has heard of it and I have only found three posts about it on the entire internet. Well, four counting my own.I also like that I went in wanting to talk about one theme and ended up finding and talking about more than just the one I intended to.
Overall I'm satisfied with my list and I hope that you, dear reader, are as satisfied with it as I am. My proposal on the other hand I think leaves a little bit to be desired, but that's something to learn from.
